Cutting through all the techno babble on the Menzerna product sheets lets get to the point!
Menzerna have developed a range of finishing polishes for new clear coat finishes but these can also be very successfully used on all types of clear coat finishes to remove light scratching and swirl marks. Until recently the commonest process involved two passes, the first with Intensive Polish which has now been renamed as Power Finish and the second pass with Final finish to eliminate holograms and buffer smears and produce a high gloss finish. Menzerna have now released a new polish called 203S which has almost as much gloss as the Final finish but with a bit more cut. This now allows detailers to finish lightly swirled paintwork in a single step giving extremely high gloss finish without the need for using two separate polishes. Menzerna's Top Inspection compliments the trio of polishes and is used to clean up between passes removing any residue and oils from the panel to allow detailed appraisal of the finish before proceeding.
two stage Polishing uses Power Finish PO85 RD 3.02 followed by PO85RD Final Finish
Single stage Polishing can be achieved by using PO 203S
Clean up during polishing is done with menzerna Top Inspection
Once refinishing and paint correction is complete then the normal paint cleansing and waxing can take place In the case of pre wax cleansers a non abrasive one is preferred such as R222 PWC or Dodo Juice Lime prime light. Both of these products "set" the paintwork ready to take the wax and ensure the surface ids free form any polish residues and oils to ensure correct wax bonding
While the polishes can be used by hand we recommend their use with either a dual action or rotary polisher and a combination of polishing pads to suit the required amount of cut required for the paint correction
